Classic Sailing Charters

Thank you Wayne and Myrna! We got super lucky with the weather and had a blast! Definitely recommend this experience if you are looking for something off the beaten path in Hong Kong and looking to meet some people who know Hong Kong very well and can tell you some fun stories about the place. We had just learned to sail J24s so it was also great that Wayne let us do some of the work on his boat which is a quite the beauty!!!

Wayne is a fantastic gentleman. From the initial inquiries on AIRBNB to when I stepped off his boat at the end of the tour, he made sure the process was smooth and enjoyable. Being regaled with his high seas tales, one can easily feel Wayne's passion for sailing. Although bereft of wind on the day I was there, the trip was fun nonetheless, as the sunshine made up for the light winds. Do not give this experience a pass if you're in HK!

Was lucky enough to get the chance to sail with Wayne a few weeks ago. We had some challenging winds during our sail and I had a hard deadline due to a flight out to the U.S. the afternoon of our experience. But we had an amazing time tacking across incoming freight ships.... and also getting to llama island and enjoying a once in a lifetime lunch! Can not more highly recommend taking a sail with Wayne... absolutely a great way to see HK island.

Wayne and Myrna were perfect hosts. Going out with them on their beautiful yacht feels like a private event with friends. The boat is in great shape and if you wish to do so you can get physically involved in sailing! On our next visit to Hong Kong we would definitely do this again!! Thank you, Wayne and Myrna, for making that day so special and memorable for us!!

Sailing with Myrna and Wayne for a day was the highlight of the Hong Kong trip. It was a beautiful day with full sails, covering a fair bit of the bay, taking in a swim and relaxing on the boat with interesting enjoyable people. I've been to Hong Kong many times long ago. Sailing around the islands was a unique joy. Wayne and Myrna are deft sailors, knowledgeable of the area, events and stories which they enjoy sharing. They also go beyond any expectations to accommodate needs. In my case, I'd emailed Wayne prior to booking to determine advisability of traveling to Hong Kong at all given the protests. Wayne was prompt and informative in his response. He clearly had time to ponder the inquiry and his answers help plan my trip; again, this was beyond what was requested. I enjoyed the sailing experience immensely. They are great people who were a pleasure to meet. Sailing in the 'La Bonita'  yacht is definitely a memorable experience. Had they not been leaving to do some traveling of their own, I would have considered sailing again. Don't miss this opportunity!

We had a splendid day cruising about in the islands of Hong Kong. Wayne and Myrna were delightful consummate hosts and made everything a pleasure. After a briefing on safety at sea and a tour of the vessel, we headed directly out into the shipping channel and manuveured amongst the massive container ships coming to and going from the harbor. Venturing to a secluded fishing village later for a feast of seafood capped off a fine morning surveying the coastal landscape and geology of the islands. All in all a fantastic day with two expert mariners, pleasant conversation, sunshine and salt air. This charter is now a must for any visit to Hong Kong. We will be back and definitely intend to go again!
